PROGRAMME
1. THE HERBS OF FINLAND
The natural beauty of Öjskogsparken provides a fantastic setting for herbal walks. Learning about the healing herbs that grow around us, will not only contribute to better health - but also offer a deeper dimension to nature hikes.
They are everywhere in the woods and fields, like good old friends: yarrow, goldenrod, eyebright, marsh Labrador tea, valerian.

Join us for exciting herbal walks in the woods or park and
 learn about our wild medicinal plants. Here you have a chance   to reclaim old traditional customs and learn to use ordinary  domestic plants as medicine, food, or spices.
Our guide, herbal therapist Alexandra de Paoli, will explain to us how to utilize these plants from nature’s own pharmacy. We will conclude our walk by tasting different herbal teas at Bengtsgärden, a farmhouse dating back  to the 18th century.

2. NATURE WALK AT VARGBERGET
The natural beauty at Vargberget is an inspiration for a different type of wildness experience. There are walks of shorter and longer periods available. Our guide will tell us about the           wonders of nature around us. The climb up  to the outlook-tower is a fantastic experience. We also offer walks with an artist as our guide, to give a chance to see and experience nature through the eyes of an artist. Or mushroom walks, where our guide will tell us about the various wild mushrooms growing in the woods. For those who are interested in more demanding walks, there are sporting hikes over more demanding terrain, or if you are interested in the flora, we arrange herbal walks in the woods under the supervision of a herbal therapist. We conclude the walk with dinner in a barbeque shelter and a sauna-bath and swimming in the tiny lake at Vargberget.
